Peter Larose

Peter is a Kamloops-based research and planning consultant who develops regenerative tourism strategies for communities, regions, and tourism/recreation non-profits across B.C. Peter also advises federal, provincial, and local governments on statutory / legislative issues related to tourism, recreation, land use, forestry, species at risk, taxation, and labour markets. Peter teaches in many of these areas as a University Instructor at TRU in Kamloops to help fulfill his life's mission: to use the levers of recreation and tourism economies to maximize local economic benefits, enhance conservation practices, and promote Indigenous reconciliation. Peter is also a Director with Mountain Biking BC (MBTA) and has conducted outdoor recreation and mountain biking research, planning, and policy for the Government of BC, and dozens of communities in B.C., including Kamloops, Squamish, Vancouver's North Shore, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Mission. Peter began mountain biking in Kamloops in 1991 and currently rides a Specialized Evo 29er.
